Class Policies

In an effort to provide the best possible experience for each of our students, we ask that each follows these few simple guidelines.

Class Registrations
All students are required to register for full terms of classes, each lasting approximately 8-10 weeks. We do not offer 5- or 10-class drop-in cards, nor do we offer drop-in classes. This policy is in place to encourage students to make a commitment to Yoga, to give it a chance to achieve results. This policy also helps to achieve a reasonably stable roster of students, thereby helping to establish and maintain a supportive environment. If students wish to begin a term of classes after its start date, the fee will be prorated after the second week of class.

If students wish to try a class before registering, please call in advance to reserve a place.

Clothing and Yoga Mats
Students should wear comfortable, appropriate clothing that allows movement. Students are also required to provide their own Yoga mats, primarily for reasons of proper hygiene.

Lateness
Classes will begin promptly at their designated times. Students are required to arrive on time, not only to derive full benefit from the class, but also to avoid disrupting other students. Unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as inclement weather), students will not be permitted to participate in a class if s/he arrives more than 5 minutes after the start of the class.

Missed Classes
Students are permitted to make up missed classes under the following conditions:
  • classes are made up within the same term
  • arrangements are made in advance
  • arrangements are made in person at the studio (rather than via telephone or e-mail)
